Dual citizenship is the status of being a citizen of two different counntries. The proposed constitution of Kenya states: " A citizen by birth does not loose citizenship by aquiring the citizenship of another country. This means that the propose constitution of Kenya proposes that dual citizenship will be allowed in Kenya. There is a major problem to that. Many disadvanytages are caused because of dual citizenship and on the other hand very less advantages are produced. For instance, a result of piracy and terrorism can occur and that can cause more security problems for the country, the society and ourselves. Having two passports of two different countries is not a good idea.

For some people, dual citizenship offers practical advantages (for example, employment and social security). It may also enhance the feeling of belonging because they may have strong personal ties to many particular countries. However, it is better to realize that there are very many disadvantages, difficulties and concequences to it as well.

The following paraghraphs suggest some of the concequences of having dual citizenship.

International laws hold back the exercise of dual citizenship. The different countries cannot afford your protection once you are in their country where you are also a national. This is certain when you have become a citizen of a country and you plan to visit your former country.

Another disadvantages is when you travel to a non-coaliation countries like in UK. You may be regarded as a hostile visitor being a British citizen and this will engdanger your stay.

Travelling with a countries passport and another country's passport amy lead to certain difficulties in a third country. Where permitted by the laws of the country in question.

Aside from the possibility that one or the other country might decide to imposecencern.

distasteful restrictions on you because they consider you to be one of their citizens, there are at least two issues that you might (or might not) see as a cause for
You might be affected if the countries of which you are involved in political upheavles of military conflicts.

Even while in the couintry, youi might be approached with demands that you fulfil certain obligations to another country of which you are legally a citizen.

Some countries that do not allow Dual citizenship: China does not recognize dual nationality. The Articles of China Nationality Law holds that People's Republic of China will not admit the dual nationality of a Chinese citizen. Moreover, the China Nationality Law declares that as soon as a Chinese takes a foreign citizenship, he will automatically lose his Chinese citizenship.
